God is Good!

A short time before we were married Emily and I were out doing some shopping together, and someone rearended us, causing whiplash and as we were to discover later... some other effects. We began chiropractic treatments, and noticed the effects of back pain and recovery after the event. After a period of treatment the Chiropractor ordered a series of MRI’s to see why our pain had not improved as much as he would have liked. After our wedding the chiropractor ordered yet another series of MRI’s this time with dye contrast, and referred me to a neurosurgeon. They discovered a tumor growing on my spine (meningioma), and that I will have to have immediate surgery. All indications are that it will not metastasize, but will need immediate removal to prevent long term damage. The surgery is scheduled for August 10, unless an earlier date opens up.

Please pray for the medical staff in this touchy, microscopic surgery; the effects of the whiplash that Emily and I both suffered; for our support raising efforts as I cannot travel long distances; for the complications that this presents for my fall semester of studies.
